• Will the project(s) outlined propel me towards my career goals?
  • Can I minimize the wet lab work I will need to do and continue with the TMEM175 project or should I pivot to a new project?
• Does the project scope make sense?
• Have we picked the right choice for handling the missing loop?
• Do the experiments we have planned actually answer the questions we are interested in asking?

Personal Growth

• Mental health challenges - high anxiety around wet lab, struggles with motivation and reliability
• Project management
  • developing from someone who just works on a to-do list handed to me by a professor into someone who is responsible for setting my own goals and making steady progress on a variety of parallel projects.
  • handling communication and feedback from John, Rich, and Delemotte Lab
  • I really flounder without structure, and I haven’t been doing a good job of creating structure when there isn’t any.

Career Objectives

• Still undecided between Academia / Industry
• I know for sure that I find wet lab work incredibly stressful and much prefer computational work, so I’d like to focus on that in the future
• I also really like working with people and would like to do something where I am using more of my social side
